Chiropractor Dr. Houghton opened Texas Family Chiropractic in 2000 with a mission to help families in Pflugerville achieve better health through natural care. He takes time to truly understand what's happening with your health, using detailed testing to find the root cause rather than just treating symptoms.

Dr. Houghton believes in proactive wellness care that keeps you healthy long-term. "I want people to feel like they're coming to a friend's house, not a doctor's office," he says. Many of our patients are working moms looking for ways to deal with the stresses in their lives. Instead of teaching people to avoid stress, we aim to teach them how to take on their stress and empower them to overcome it.

Our new patient process is more detailed than most because there's no guesswork regarding your spine and nervous system health. In addition to the consultation, testing, and technology, including digital X-rays, we may spend up to an hour to really dig deep to figure out what you need.

How long will my treatment take?

Your first visit takes about 30 minutes for a consultation, exam, and X-rays. After that, most appointments last just 10-15 minutes. We value your time and work efficiently while giving you the care you need.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept Medicare, Blue Cross, and several other insurance plans. Our front desk team handles all verification, so you'll know your coverage before your visit.

Will adjustments hurt?

About 80% of patients feel relief right away with no discomfort. Some people experience mild soreness afterward, similar to trying a new workout. That's a good soreness and typically means your body is responding well to treatment.
